Water Powered Sump Pump
Every Spring and Summer, thunder storms bring a terrible combination of
power outages and heavy rainfall. Basements
become flooded and cause damage to belongings and can cause mold infestation.
Typically, a back up sump pump keeps a basement from flooding if the
primary pump fails. But if a thunderstorm knocks the electricity
out, the back up sump pump will not work.
So, how do you pump the
basement out when the power is out? The solution is the
Water Powered Sump Pump. The Water Powered Sump Pump is powered by pressure
from the city water supply. As the city water flows through
the pump, it creates a vacuum inside an attached tube that extends down
to the base of the sump pump pit, thus creating a siphon. The vacuum in
the tube pulls ground water from the sump pump pit in the
basement up the tube, through the pump and out into the drainage pipe along
with the city water. Water powered sump pumps have the following
advantages:
- No electricity is required
- No moving parts in the pump
- Will run indefinitely as long as there is city water pressure
- Pump more water out than they use
- Run silently
- Only run when needed
